This is a challenging and varied Head of HR role working with a successful growing business. Covering sites across London you will be part of the Senior Management Team with responsibility for both agreeing the people strategy and managing the HR team responsible for delivering a fit for purpose operational HR support service. You will need strong HR Management skills and must be a good HR generalist with experience gained in a fast paced, commercial and multi-site environment.

This is a 14 month interim role requiring a July 2017 start.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensuring that the operational business is adequately staffed with well-trained individuals and then working to improve people processes, training, and management behaviours to retain them.
  • Identifying areas for continuous process improvement where HR can add operational value to the business ensuring key business partners are involved and briefed where appropriate.
  • Proactively driving HR change projects (Modernisation of working practices/shifts, introduction of improved HR policy & procedure, TUPE etc.) dealing with well-established Unions when doing so.
  • Managing a HR team of c15 ensuring they are capable of delivering the day-to-day HR support that the business needs.

To be a success in this role

  • You must be able to show strong experience of managing larger HR teams (10+ staff).
  • You must be a business focused, professional HR generalist experienced in operating in a sizeable and ever changing service delivery business.
  • You must have an ability to engage and motivate Operational Stakeholders
  • You must be confident driving change in a Unionised business.

Salary - c£65,000 + travel card & other attractive benefits
