Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a major UK business as a strategically minded HR Business Partner. You will be asked to work in partnership with a specific business group supporting their commercial staff at all levels and handling a wide range of HR issues in a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities will include

  • Continuing to sell and embed the idea of HR as a Business Partner to the operational stakeholders
  • Working to develop regional & site strategies to deal with issues around Employee Engagement, Performance Management and Succession Planning.
  • Helping create a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Working in partnership with busy and underpressure operational managers. Supporting them with a wide range of ER issues and processes.  Coaching & advising them to improve capabilities across their teams.

As the lead HR professional for your business area and region you will be required to liaise closely with managers in order to understand their changing needs and support them fully from an HR perspective. You will need to be based close to Birmingham and whilst historically there has been a lot of travel this is now changing and there is more potential for providing remote support.  

The successful candidate will have

  • A varied HR background with proven success in a fast paced and blue collar multi-site environment.
  • A solid background in dealing with day to day HR/ER issues.
  • Experience of supporting a business during a period of change and transformation.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to find effective solutions to solve commercial challenges.

Salary: c£45,000 + car (or allowance), bonus and benefits.
