This is an exciting opportunity to join a major UK business as a modern day and strategically minded HR Business Partner. You will be asked to work in partnership with a specific business group supporting key operational  managers with the implementation of their people agenda. Based mainly from Coventry there will be a need for some national travel and some limited scope to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities will include

  • Supporting operational managers to action the corporate people strategy and people plan at a business level.
  • Developing bespoke plans to deal with issues like Succession Planning, Talent Development and Diversity & Inclusion.
  • Working in partnership with busy operational managers coaching & advising them to improve the people / management capabilities across their teams. 
  • Ensuring that your business is getting the operational HR support that they need from the central services team and assisting the central ER team with key ER issues or initiatives.
  • Continuing to promote the value of HR as a true Business Partner and driving a focus on continuous improvement both in the business and in the wider HR team.

As a senior HR professional in your business area you will be expected to work closely with managers to understand their changing needs and support them fully from an HR perspective. You will need to be visible across a number of sites.   

The successful candidate will have

  • Proven success in a larger HR team and working proactively on HR projects
  • Confidence dealing with issues like succession planning, workforce planning, aging workforce and talent development.
  • Experience of supporting ER specialists with complex issues and proactive initiatives.  
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to find effective solutions to solve commercial challenges.

This is a role that will see you working as a modern day HR Business Partner in a well established Ulrich-model HR function. Salary: Up to £55k + bonus and benefits.
