This is a great time to be joining this business in a pivotal / lead role within their Operational HR team. You will be managing their team of 5 busy HR Administrators who are supporting what is a large national organisation. You and your team will be playing a key part as the business continues to modernise and develop.

The key responsibilities

  • Managing the day to day transactional HR team, ensuring all enquiries around the employee life cycle (including onboarding, payroll, admin and contractual) are dealt with quickly, efficiently and in line with current SLAs
  • Developing the team's capabilities and working to ensure that they are focused on delivering a high quality service to the internal stakeholders.
  • Taking ownership of the team's bulk onboarding campaigns ensuring that all managers and stakeholders are kept up to date with project timelines.
  • Ensuring the team is delivering against SLAs accurately and the business is compliant with all regulations.
  • Identifying where process improvements can be made in order to streamline and improve overall efficiency within the team.

This is a fast paced environment which will see you leading from the front in order to achieve results. You will also have the opportunity to play a part in wider HR projects which will support your own development and interests

To be a success in this role you will have

  • The ability to coach, manage, develop and motivate a team of HR administrators
  • First class organisation and administration skills with proven experience in HR admin roles
  • The ability to juggle a busy and demanding workload and balance sometimes conflicting priorities
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with a can-do attitude

This is a business with a rich heritage that is adapting well to the new commercial world. There is an appetite for change and you will be joining a HR team driving change however you will also need plenty of resilience and tenacity to embed change across the business.

Salary: £35000-£40000 (dependent on experience) + Excellent benefits. 

The team is based on site in North Birmingham and as Manager you will need to be in the office with them. There is limited scope for home work.
