This is a market leading business with sites and staff across the country. They are investing into their HR team and are now recruiting for a HR and Recruitment Advisor with strengths in supporting managers in a unionised environment for a role based in Shrewsbury with travel to other sites. You will play a key role dealing with ER issues, providing support, advice and guidance to operational managers across the business.

Responsibilities will include

  • Advising operational managers on their day to day operational HR issues and working with them to improve their confidence and management capabilities.
  • Suggesting continuous improvement to HR/ER policy and providing commercially sound advice and guidance 
  • Supporting operational managers with all recruitment from advertising, through to interviewing and onboarding

You will need

  • Previous experience of working in a HR and Recruitment role, supporting employees at all levels.
  • The confidence to work autonomously whilst remaining part of the HR team (the majority of which are based at a different site).
  • Experience of working in partnership with Unions to resolve HR issues.
