This is a varied and challenging Birmingham Based interim in-house recruitment role.  Our client is a successful market leading business that is in the midst of a major restructure and looking at all of their people and HR processes to ensure they are fit for purpose in the new business. As they roll out new business initiatives as part of their business transformation they also need to develop a talent pool of high potential (but relatively low paid) zero hours workers who can be deployed at short notice across the UK. As a lead Recruitment Professional you will play a key role with both parts of this project.

You must have experience of

  • Recruiting high volumes of low paid workers with an understanding of where to source and how to select
  • Working with Operational Managers to understand their recruitment needs and create JDs, Adverts and recruitment processes.
  • Supporting hiring managers with limited experience and time to ensure they can recruit effectively and improving their recruiting capabilities for the long term.

Equally important is your ability to work with the following behaviours.

  • Creative thinking - Some of the roles you are recruiting for are niche/bespoke and you will need to think outside of the box to identify transferrable skills in other job roles and work out how to attract candidates to a career/sector they may never have previously considered
  • Sales skills - You must be able to sell your business and job roles to those individuals with confidence
  • Resilience - This role is part of a major business transformation. You will need to work hard to ensure that busy operational stakeholders understand the importance of this part of the project and buy in to your initiatives.
  • Self sufficiency - You will have some support from seconded HR staff and there is some budget to work with but you will need to work with excel spreadsheets rather than formal ATS and develop things like Assessment Centres from scratch rather than work from existing templates.

The exciting part of the role is that you will be in a role where you can be hugely influential and make a real impact on the commercial success of the business. The business you will be joining finds itself at an exciting time in their history and whilst there is a great deal of loyalty from existing staff there is also a real appetite for change and development of both culture and operating model. 

Initially a 12 contract this is expected to be a longer term project lasting 18 months +.

Salary - Negotiable. Expecting to be in the region of £50000 - £60000 + benefits.
