As we talk to our clients & candidates it is clear that we are all finding ourselves in a Candidate Driven Recruitment Market at the moment.

But knowing where we are is not the same as knowing what we can do about it and what opportunities it presents to you.

Well here are a few ideas for you. 

The Active Job Seeker

You're going to be popular. There are going to be lots of jobs you can apply to and lots of people wanting to talk to you.

Be organised. Keep a track of who has your CV, what job you are applying for and remain professional. 
Be focused. Know what you want, what your non-negotiables are and focus on applying for the right job, not every job.
Be confident. Focus on the skills you do have and know that there is a good chance you are the best candidate the recruiter is interviewing!

The Passive Candidate

There has never been a better time to be looking for work and asking if roles could accommodate home working, flexible hours, study support, mentoring or more....

If you are 'not really looking but would move for the right opportunity' now is the time to contact the Recruiter / Advertiser explain what it is that you are looking for and see if your needs can be met given what you can bring to the job.

The Friend

You might not be looking for work but you'll know someone who is (Passive or Active). Remember them, recommend them, pass job leads their way.

And remind them that (as above)... There has never been a better time to be looking for work and asking if roles could accommodate home working, flexible hours, study support, mentoring or more.
