In addition to the panic buying of fuel there has been lots in the news recently about recruitment getting back to pre-pandemic levels and this coinciding with a general lack of applicants / candidates (especially in certain business areas). We’re having plenty of conversations with recruiters at the moment (both inhouse and fee earners) and the one thing that is coming up time and again is the poor response everyone is getting to adverts at the moment. Adverts that you would ordinarily expect to see pull in a good number of applicants are just falling flat.

You’ve sensibly invested time briefing your agency of choice on the role and its nuances and are just agreeing dates for potential 1st and 2nd stage interviews.
